My name is silvana rivas. I am currently a freshman at CCNY. I am planning on pursuing a major in biology. I am Hispanic that come from an educated home. The main reason I wanted to go this route into biology is because I enjoy science. I like to discover new things as well as learn what makes the world the way it is! My main objective is to show people that women can do anything! Women are independent and should be considered as equal as men. 

Everyone makes mistakes, but it is important to learn from them. I aim to gain as much as possible from this class and apply what I’ve learned to better prepare for the future. I am confident that the skills I learned in this class will be useful when I need to write a proposal or research paper.
